I've been making StyleBooks since I was 13. First as ripped out images from fashion magazines hot-glue gunned to my mother's left-over fabric samples, then as floor-to-ceiling collages in my bedroom, and finally as perfectly laid-out InDesign files in preparation for fashion design. I'm not sure why, but for my entire life I ripped every page I loved out of any magazine I could get my sticky paws on; dentist's waiting rooms, hair salons, straight off the shelf of my local magazine stand, anywhere. I had a complete obsession and an unrelenting desire to collect the images of things I worshipped. I found myself in those torn-up pages. I could fall in love with people I'll never know, things I've never seen, and worlds I'll never visit. I wasn't limited by how I looked or what I could afford – I could define myself any way I wanted to. I devoured content; I collected it, curated it, and then put it together in my own personal StyleBook.
This is my story, it's the true-as-life and sweet-as-sugar foundation of what we've built at StyleSaint.
Style is not meant to be kept a secret, it's a badge that's self-defining and meant to be shared. I want to know your story. I want to see what you worship and how you define yourself.
You have a story to tell, say it in style.
xoxo,
Allison
